The beach and the mountains are covered with darkness.
I walk on the tranquil beach, soft moon light shreds through the dark, bounces on the surface of the ocean and lands on my iris. Stars in the sky dancing, creating patterns, amusing people who admire the beauty of the galaxy. Stars shine through the endless space, connecting galaxies. Sprinkles of stars and a bow shaped moon, mixed up with blazing lights from the bars and restaurants lit up the beach.
I sat down at the bar. A young bartender with a navy blue shirt, emerald eyes and silk-smooth hair stands in front of the guests, serving glasses of Jack Daniel’s and burning tequila. Voyagers from all around the world sit around the tables in a bright, heated restaurant decorated with flowers and wooden guitars, enjoying gastronomies crafted by talented chefs in the kitchen. Kids running around on the beach barefoot, leaving laughter and footprints in the sand.
Laughter and cheering flew into my ears, breaking my thoughts. The happiness and the excitement spread across the beach. Screeches of seagulls in the distance mixed with animals’ growling from the forest made the island more energetic. Fireworks explode in the air, creating thunder and sizzles.
Men and women, no matter the age, all cheering around the vigorous bonfire, celebrating the unforgettable moment. Sand and stones are touching my skin. Cold shivers cut through my legs. Freezing sea water splashing on my toes. My legs are petrified. Sea shells and coal brought by the waves collided with my ankle. Wind flew across my hair and face, leaving sparks of salt. Smoke from the burning chunks of apple wood under the bonfire mixed with salty air filled my nostrils and lungs.
Unlimited memories drowned my thoughts, nostalgia with my family during holidays came back to my mind. I remember the days of my family and I sat around the campfires, chatting and picnicking on the beach. Waves of memory came back to me mixed with rhythms of the waves of the ocean.
The peaceful beach is filled with delightment, laughter and salty warm air.
