Observe the horizon

I looked up to the sky

Admiring my star

I looked up to the sky

Wondering if the horizon had ever been as beautiful

Without my dear star,

the horizon would seem dead

I looked up to the sky

Wondering, if my star had moved further away

I looked up to the sky

searching for my star

Finding it, at the very back of the horizon

I reached for my star today

Only to see that it was gone

A star that, a long time ago,

Shined so brightly

Illuminating the night sky

In a way, that even the moon

Got jealous of it

I screamed into the abyss,

Wondering if this star was meant

To be a supernova

Meant to destroy itself

Meant to be the brightest thing

In my little universe

I looked up to the sky

Missing my star

But also, accepting

That it’s gone

Yesterday, I looked up to the sky

Saddened by its disappearance

Yet, happy that it shined
