My home is non-existent

The grass is frozen,

Upon the green fields of my tender heart.

The minds wise moose

Will guide it every time.

My eyes had wandered off into the distance.

As though it was up close, I saw my home.

I knew exactly in that moment – I’m better off gone,

Otherwise, heartbreak would ensue.

And even though they tempt me –

Sentimental moments,

Monuments, memorials

Of everything that dear to me has been –

My heart will yearn, yet my relentless mind

Won’t ever doubt it or forget it –

Betrayal of the ground leaving my feet.
