And They Ate

A woman and her husband

Lived separate lives

Save for the night

When together they would dine

The two wouldn’t talk

Just stare at their plates

Listening to eachother

Chew and chew and chew

Once and only once the women looked up

On her husband’s plate she saw not potatoes

She saw not steak or chicken or rice

She saw

A head

Upon his plate was a girls head

On his fork was her flesh

The women watched him gorge

She watched him shovell brains and skin into his mouth

In his eyes was a hunger

That could only be satisfied with the flesh

Eyes wide she watched

Vomit rose in her throat

And her husband just continued on

Blood gushed from

It. And coated the womans face

Her face dripped blood onto her plate

As her husband slurped down its brain

The women looked back down at her plate

And continued eating
