The Jester took his mask off,
The one made for him
The one so beautifully painted to mask him,
With a smile that is supposed to flood his lips,
For the sole reason to hide him,
The human behind the mask,
The human with feelings that don’t seem to be in reach,
Or have they ever been there to find ?
That mind of his that feels empty,
Yet so excruciatingly heavy.
He who is supposed to make the monarch laugh,
Yet dosen’t have any happiness for left himself.
And even with no happiness of his own,
He still obtains a solution for the laughter of others,
However none for his own
This helpless character in an enormous court,
That has the demand to be filled,
With a smile contagious enough to go through every wall.
But his smile isn’t enough for him,
Is a greater one in sight ?
Will he find someone that spreads a smile on his lips,
Like the ones he spreads.
The smile he’s lost,
He misses it,
The joy he lost
He misses it,
The laughter he lost,
He misses it
The smile he lost
He misses it.
The Jester has lost his smile,
